Having delighted in the Your Yeti DJ photos I thought I would have a go myself and bought a 2nd hand DJ for my son but got carried away after cleaning it, adding a bit of bling. Actually, I havd the frame powdercoated, re logo'd and added the new white cables, red headset, skewers, etc, etc. he's 12 and he absolutely loves it. Not another like it round here. Got the badge and cable protectors from you guys and note the Yetifan sticker Graeme

I am British, living in USA. My yeti is my companion and trusted steed (Yeti). It will tour the world with me. It truly is amazing, I go everywhere with it. It is afraid of nothing, run around, street, 4x, free ride, downhill. Built to handle all. It got its first medal 2nd place at a surprise local 4x race, only more 2 come. Cheers, Rama Mannur.
Hi Andrew, an addition for "your DJ" please. Yeti number 2 for me, a long 08 yeti DJ, King hubs and headset, XT brakes, XTR cranks, really enjoy the bike. Thanks Mark

Yeti DJ long 2007/2008 Team Replica, built for fourcross racing only. Already tested it on the BMX track and it’s super light! It accelerates amazing. The bike is not the problem anymore, but the rider still is!
Here are a few pictures of my new dj my mum and dad built for me at xmas with the help of the guys at Bromley bikes.I am a very lucky 9 yr old ! perhaps one of the younger Yeti fans. See you at tribe meet 08.
It have bombshell wheelset, maxxis DH tubes, thompson stem, avid juicy 2008 brakes, fox float rlc fork... And his weight is 13,94Kg=30,7lbs.
Black Ano, Full 08 XT Group, Fox 32 Van's, DT Swiss 5.1D's on Hope Pro 2's, Maxxis 2.35 Kelvar Highrollers, Thompson Elite Seatpole & X4 Stem, Easton Bars, Chris King Headset, DX Clipless Pedals. Yet to give it a really good trashing, but will do soon!! Just found the sweet spot for the manuals & wheelies though!! Nice! Big thanks to Bromley Bikes for the hook up on the frame, and ASBO for picking it up:-) Thanks dudes!!
This is my Yeti DJ, built up for a bit of everything really! Handles most uphill’s apart from the super steep, have ridden DH and 4x on it and after getting tired of my 8” inch travel DH bike, I’d say I’m just as quick now on the Yeti down the tracks. Spec is a range, Pike 454 forks, DT Swiss 440 hubs laced to 5.1d rims (as used by the Athertons on their DH racers, so cant be bad) ideal combo of strength and lightweight. Kenda Nevegal 2.3” folding tyres, Shimano XT cranks, SRAM x.9 mech and shifter and Avid Juicy Carbon brakes. Extremely light for the build, not got it on the scales yet though. Its part of a running test on Fat Tyre MTB (www.FTMB.net) so most questions are answered in those articles. Cheers, Jim
DJ Built up for XC at the moment but have raced 4X and some downhill so a amazing all rounder
This Yeti is my sons 2007 DJ Raw Shivers up front Lx xtr mechs Big Earl crank Easton Am Havoc wheels Hope mono 4 breaks Race face post and stem 31 lb on the scale and he has a blast with it
This is my '07 Yeti DJ, words can't describe how pleased I am with it! The smaller size this year makes it awesome for jumping and freeride, it may not so great going up hill now but it kicks ass when pointed down hill! Jumping it is such a joy, it's so predictable and smooth, it just flows beautifuly. It also loves railing berms! I can almost get a knee down GP stylie! If you're looking for the ultimate hardtail playbike then this could well be it! I've specced mine mostly with parts from the Sram/Truvativ group, including Pikes and Juicy 7's, I'll change the mech to Sram when I smash it on something. My budget is a bit limited but I'm chuffed with the build as it is. Now to start saving for an ASX.....
I hope you can include some pics of my new DJ on Yetifan.com. I don't see another '07 model in the site. It's a warrenty replacement from my old on. As you can see, I can't shy away from the garish coloured tyres. These are superb. Note the XT Thumb Shifters and reverse pull XTR mech with purple bolts. From last year, geometry has changed and the length of the seattube is 2" shorter!!! No XC anymore then. Again, a reasonably budget build, but it's looking good IMO. Thanx My finished Yeti DJ, Team Livery paintjob by Ralph Lugten of RLDesigns, Thanks Ralph! XTR discs with saint lever,s Carbon MRP, Yeti rollers, Thomson, King wheels etc. Thanks, Christiaan
This is my Dj... almost finished... I'm looking for a new rear brake like a Hope M4 or Hope Trail. Here is a short lost of the used parts: Spank 2Timer Spank BitchStick Chris King Headset ... and so on bye Dominik

aha! My yeti. truly the most ledgendary bikes on the planet i have to say :D
It’s in two states all the time,.....always have either a spare xt or saint crankset, but finally figured saint is best. Oh yes and the goping blue seat has gone- nice black one now as pictured. Josh Cowell YetiaceUK Yeti DJ with XT groupset, Thompson elite stem and seat post, Pace RC40 forks, Easton carbon monkey lite bars, and Mavic disc/tubeless 819 wheels. It's a gorgeous bike I hope you'll agree, it does everything that I asked, its great for X-C and ideal for just playing, a truly fantastic package, a credit to the folks at Yeti. Thanks to all those at Yeti and the guys at Bromley Bikes
Its pretty much finished apart from a King headset and a better chain device. I used saint wherever possible - very solid indeed.I love the geometry, its really predictable to jump for super smooth landings. Manuals like nothing Ive ridden before. Respect to Bromley Bikes for getting me one the first Batch into the UK. Graham
This is my Yeti DJ… BIG thanks to Marek at Two Wheel Industries in Newcastle, Australia for getting me the frame, building me the SWEEET wheels and helping me out with a few parts. :) It’s pretty much finished, apart from some of those pimp, gold, ti bolts. :) It’s a WEAPON! Specs as follow:
Saint-Diabolus-e.13 Many thanks, Pete D.
Theme is “Patriot” from Chris King Patriot headset that it has. The King headset does look a bit small on the DJ head tube, Matt suggested a Blackspire, but Patrick really wanted the patriot. I like it too. Theme is picked up in the chainset; Blackspire crank arms from Chain Reaction; they were on special offer. Patrick chose 170mm against my & Matt’s recommendation of 165mm. His wish. Patriot coloured rings & bolts from Middleburn, slick-shift. Frame is a large in raw (obviously) purchased through Matt. I think the frame is stunning. Now Patrick is not large so he has built the Yeti up as kind of cross-country. The idea was donor parts from the Kona Caldera custom (new only last August!). But we ended up changing far more than anticipated. Seat post had to be changed, as the old one was the wrong size. Matt suggested Blackspire at a good price and I liked the look. Front mech needed changing, again as wrong size. Interesting detail on front mech, XT, was that a standard top swing wouldn’t work. We had to get a top pull bottom swing.
The black Yeti seat collar was swapped for blue Hope. Note we both have QR seat collars (I went for the Salsa in the end after that oh so useful discussion on the forum) so we can swap bikes on the trail. I wonder how many father-son Yeti “teams” there are today? The Syncross Mental stainless steel investment cast pedals were purchased for Pink Yeti but I changed my mind. Patrick also has Egg Beaters stainless steel for the summer (but I bet he won’t swap them). The idea is to replace the hubs with blue Hope later this year. Funds don’t stretch to King. [I spent my entire work bonus on the DJ. No regrets!] Fox forks are a distant dream… Patrick has his own upgrade plans. First on his list are coloured brake lever blades from Danger Boy to continue the patriot theme. Then probably custom brake rotors with www.yetidj.net machined through to match Pink Yeti’s ones (which haven’t arrived yet as my Birthday isn’t until the 24th. This is a pic of my new DJ. (sorry, it's a large size file) I'm really pleased with it (I'm an Ellsworth convert). I'm running it single speed which is how jump bikes should be run, it's also much cheaper to build this way plus NO chain clatter. I'll replace the chain tensioner when I can get my hands on the horizontal when Yeti release them later this summer. A single rear brake should be enough to stop it pretty sharpish. The Fox fork needs to be shortened to 100mm, 130mm really is too much. it gets some goo air and lands smoothly. Andrew, many thanks for your time and effort, I think the site is really smart and really makes you feel a part of something quite special. It was actually the pics of other Yetifans bikes that got me thinking of converting to Yeti. Kind Regards, Shane
My DJ with a custom painted vanilla rlc up front.
After losing my Foes FXR to theives a few months ago and just selling all my Yeti DJ parts on eBay, I was left without a bike for almost three months while I scimped and saved at a very poor time in my life to be able to build my dj frame again. With just £500, my LBS helped me no end to come together with a cheap, but great riding bike to handle most diceplines until I can build my next dream Yeti 575 or ASX a little further down the road. Spec includes budget Bomber ETA'a, Magura rim brakes, a mix of Sram X.7, SX.5 and Shimano XT, USE, X-Lite, Michelin HOT S tyres etc, to comprise a strong, light and all round good value Yeti to see me until I can buy my next Superbike. It rides so well and feels so solid. My friends think it looks like a clowns bike with all the red, but what do they know......I have a Yeti.
Hai, Bro, sorry for my lag in sending the Yeti pic, I love this frame coz it strong for hardtail freeride. I live @ Depok, Jakarta, Indonesia, South East Asia I bought it from Jensonusa.com, I set my Yeti Dj with: -
Love to ride it! [back to top]

This is my race bike, it gets abused and neglected. most of the parts are from former bikes or have been pulled from the recycle/trash. the frame is a 2010 DJ proto/paint sample, it originally had the same paint as the black/turq ASR-5C/A but its my race bike so it got my traditional "race paint". fork is a 2010 "831" with a standard 11/8 steer. wheels are a mix of DT/XT and Mavic. the seat, tires and bars where rescued from the trash. cranks are primo hollow bites, cheap and strong but not lite. those and the rest of the drive train where pulled off my last DJ. pedals have been on every one of my DH and DJ's over the last ten years (about 12 bikes), now slightly bent and missing most of the pins BP
